Industry standard archival options:
IMX D10 30/40/50 This mpeg2 based format offers excellent quality, especially at the highest bitrate (50mbps). The files are ready to use in most broadcast environments and in Final Cut Pro editing environments but playback on desktop pc's is very limited.
Blackmagic JPEG SD/HD This codec is excellent for archival purposes and resulting files play on any desktop pc with Quicktime installed, and can be used in most editing environments. For content owners deploying to STB, IPTV, SVOD, TVOD or PCVOD in both SD and HD environments this is our preferred option.
JPEG2000 This is the format of choice for film based content (35-16-8mm). The 3:1 option offers a lossless digital file with reduced storage requirements. Content Coders work with partners specialized in film restoration and preservation to obtain the highest quality digital archive from your film based content.
DV-DVCPro 25/50 If your content is recorded on DV, DVCam, or DVCPro tapes this is the format of choice for archival.
Audio We have several options to store audio material and accept most formats like DAT tapes or DA88 tapes for surround audio. Using our Protools suite your audio can be processed to broadcast specifications.
REDUNDANT BACKUPS
Using the latest tape drive technology, LTO4, redundant backups are made of your archive and stored offsite.
